Infinix is bringing the latest member of its Hot series to India, the Infinix Hot 12. The phone will launch on August 17 at 1:30pm.
The Infinix Hot 12 joins the Infinix Hot 12 Pro and the Infinix Hot 12 Play and sits between the two phones in terms of pricing. This puts your price expectations around Rs.9,000 to Rs. 10,000. Like all other Infinix phones, it will only be available on Flipkart.
Infinix Hot 12: Key Features and Specs
The Infinix Hot 12 has a large 6.82-inch screen and supports a 90Hz refresh rate. It’s an HD+ display, although the display is larger than most other phones. Infinix should have provided an FHD+ display like their previous Hot series phone, Infinix Hot 11s.
Infinix didn’t mention anything about this phone’s chipset. It also didn’t mention anything about the RAM and internal memory variants on offer.
The phone comes in 4 different colors: 7 degree purple, turquoise cyan, exploratory blue and polar black.
Coming to cameras, like other budget phones in the segment, it comes with a triple 50MP camera setup. Secondary cameras could probably be two 2MP auxiliary sensors for macro and depth.
A 6,000mAh battery backs up the phone and supports 18W fast charging.
Infinix doesn’t get the hype that Redmi or Realme get
Infinix continues to add new and new models to its budget portfolio in India. It is one of the brands to focus on low-end budget segments and update the schedule every now and then. Redmi and Realme don’t release low-budget phones as much as Infinix these days.
But Infinix doesn’t get the hype that a new Redmi or Realme creates. It could be marketing, which Infinix hasn’t mastered yet. Although the company has been in the Indian market for a long time, it doesn’t have the brand recall like other players or market share like the other big players.
But Infinix keeps releasing new phones in its various series like Hot and Smart, and often gives the specification on paper for the price. But the company needs to improve in many areas, especially software and build quality, if it wants to fight the big ones.
