When is Sony’s next gaming state?
We currently do not have a date for the next State of Play. The last one took place in September 2022, so it’s possible we’ll need to wait until the new year for updates.
We still haven’t received anything official from Sony and we haven’t seen any credible rumors or reports since. However, we will keep this updated as soon as we do.
What can we expect from the next Sony State of Play?
Sony hasn’t told us a date for the next State of Play, no matter what announcements it will include. That said, we can try to guess what could be covered. Given the latest State of Play focused on upcoming third-party titles and PSVR 2, we like to think the next State of Play will focus on upcoming first-party titles.
At the moment, it’s not especially clear what’s next besides PSVR 2, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and Marvel’s Wolverine aside.
Whether or not that would mean a dedicated State of Play or something that is part of a wider list of announcements, we don’t know. We can’t be sure of anything until Sony makes some official announcements, there’s usually no consistent pattern.
What was revealed at the latest Sony State of Play?
The last State of Play was on September 13 and was mainly dedicated to third-party ads and PSVR 2.
On the other side of the stream, we finally got a Tekken 8 reveal, news that Like A Dragon: Ishin was being remade, a new trailer for God of War Ragnarok. This also included a look at the PlayStation exclusive Hogwarts Legacy quest, along with trailers for Pacific Drive, Rise of the Ronin, and Synduality.
As far as PSVR 2 is concerned, we have two new reveals for the upcoming VR headset. Along with an enhanced version of Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, this showcase also revealed that Demeo is coming to PS5 and PSVR 2 next year.
